Bendalong is one of the few Pet Friendly areas in the Shoalhaven . All dogs are required to be “on leash” at all times EXCEPT when in an “off-leash” designated Council managed areas. They must be under the control of a competent handler at all times.

Washerwomans Beach is a 24 hour “off leash” exercise area. Flat rock beach is a prohibited area as there are endangered shore bird nest sites located nearby. A prohibited area is within 200 metres of an identified shorebird nesting site, so please keep your dog on a leash on this beach.

Restricted breeds, dogs declared dangerous, nuisance or aggressive are not permitted in off-leash areas.
